While I am firmly on your side Marcel, I think that the personal attacks should be kept out of the forum. When you have confirmed proof about what has transpired and who is to blame, then you should say something, but until then, I think this info should be kept off the forum. There are alot of shops out there, so people will start speculating over who is to blame and this could damage an otherwise innocent party.
Also, threatening anyone should not be on the public forum.
That aside, I really do hope you find out who did this and I also sincerely hope that you name them and shame them. So the whole South African Hobbiest community knows what shop to avoid in the future.

I have a friend in the pet trade and he has had a lot off battles with Nature conservation. He has spent over 40 th Rand in lawyer fees. He still out and not behind bars. In other words he has won his court case. I spoke to him about your case and he advised that you should get a lawyer. Second bit of advise was that anything that gets taken from you must be written down with a value and signed. In an event that you win your case you get paid out for loss of live stock, that was taken from you and did not survive.

Maybe MASA can get a donation fund going to help you with your lawyer fees.

If Marcel had submitted the application form, then it would be a clear cut thing. But as it stands, it depends on contextual evidence - ie: that marcel was in a position where he was not legible to apply until he had sorted his passport out, and that he has been completely open and transparent the whole time. Marcel has not tried to do this on the sly. If the judge takes the entire situation and context into consideration then I don't see why it should be a problem.

This is true sims i agree....although they could have handled it a bit more cleverly,locking the man up even though he hasnt sold any and has been visible in trying to get the needed paper work means that you have no intent of doing anything illegal should mean they need to send one or two inspectors to check it out and keep tabs on his stock etc....but 8 guys to lock him up is a bit much for what is not really a crime but rather a grey area.
MURDER,RAPE,ROBBERIES ETC YEAH SURE SEND IN 10 OFFICIALS Lol but come now why arrest for this???not like he caught nemo out of cape town seas lol

Also I think that rather then catch them in the street and make them pay(and get yourself locked up again
) rather get your product out there and supply anyone but them and let them burn as you succeed
