welcome, looking fantastic!
really good tanks those

Thank you all for the kind words and compliments.

This tank has been up and running for 4 months now, as my previous 2 RSM250 cracked on me in less than 3 months. (No fault of my own)

Touch wood this one will make it past a year.

I'm running a TLF 150 reactor with Phosgaurd, Carbon, CPE and Purigen in the rear chambers.
The stock skimmer works a treat when dialled in correctly and the chiller helps keep the temp very stable. The 2 MP10 work a treat in anti-sync mode and everything gets the best current there is to offer.

I recently upgraded the lighting and went with the following set up:

Order of instillation, from front to back:

Coral Plus
ATI 12000K Aquablue Special
ATI Blue Plus
ATI Purple Plus
ATI 12000K Aquablue Special
Coral Plus

These lamps relay make the colours pop and bring out the best in the fish and corals.

Some great pics...
Quick Q... Is that Chromis missing an eye?

Thought I'd do a time line of my tanks and what I went through to get where I am today...

I originally upgraded from a Tropquarium 88 back in 2008.

As a reward for keeping this tank going for three year on nothing but a canister filter and a HOB skimmer I upgraded to the RSM 250 in 2011-03-07. This picture was taken just after I had transferred everything over.

Then on the 12-10-2011 the tank cracked in front of me while I was watching TV.

Quick thinking and a friendly LFS I managed to save most of the coral, but unfortunately I lost most of my fish.

The tank was still under warranty so Red Sea replaced it the very next day.

Then on the 05-03-2011 the inevitable happened once again, right in front of me as I walked in the door from work.

This time with some quick thinking yet again, I used Duck Tape to hold tank together while Red Sea delivered me a new one. I did not lose anything on this break as I was well prepared.

So now we are on tank number three...... 13-03-2012 just after the incident.

According to Vortech the pumps should be fine with 10mm glass and they recommend running them without the rubber grommet. I have however left the rubber grommets in situe and they seem to run seamlessly. Only time will tell......

BTW thats a flippin nice system tok:thumbup:

Cheers mate I do appreciate the compliment.
