Tok's Red Sea Max 250

Do these have a general tendency to crack? Odds of you just getting duds are quite high.

Hi @CocaColaza, exactly the same thing hapened to a fellow reefer close to where i stay (brits), his first red sea cracked on the righthand bottom corner, & redsea replaced the tank as well, but the second time, they didnt want to replace it as they said apparently, the cause was an uneven floor which caused the cracks... But im not too sure about that...
Lol, after that he built his own tank, lol..

Has anyone else out there had any cracks from red sea max?

Always good to put the tank on a softish material like rubber or polystyrene.. If its uneven then it will level out a bit. That can definitely break a tank.

I’ll give Red Sea credit were credits due and say that there after sales customer service was brilliant.
The director contacted me when he heard what had happened and all was sorted before you could blink an eye.

In fear of it happening again and not knowing why, I've taken the above steps as well.

:eek:NO, not me!
Tok you inspire me:yeahdude:, two RSMs cracking in front of your eyes, I would've fallen over on the spot from a coronary. Awesome set up, and your life stock looks excellent!
Love your red shrooms, I have the green variety!

Thanks Carlos, it has been a long and testing road and I pray the worst is over.

I added my inTank media basket to the tank yesterday after doing a water change and I thought I post a few pics.....

Loaded and ready to go with Purigen and Chemi Pure Elite

I used to 5 watt under water lights for the Chaeto compartment.

The Chaeto all lit up.

I'd love to know what it is and if it is of the friendly reef save kind.

Nudibranch of some sort, I think???:confused1:
Great SPSs, do have any reactors running or just do manual dosing?

Carlos, the only reactor I got running is a TLF 150 Phosban running with Phosguard and carbon.
I don't dose my tank with anything at all.

Tok

That is so good to hear, I always have Ca, Buffer and Mg ready to add, but very seldom do, my water changes seem to keep all my parameters in check.
Great photographic skills bud!
