Practical growing of phytoplankton

Looks like that one, only differences:
1) "Blue" PVC pipes instead of white ones
2) T-pieces branching off to the left and right (alternating), instead of + pieces (so bottles on either sides are not aligned but alternate).
3) 4 bottles per side instead of 5
4) Lights are hanging a bit lower to ensure more light where there is always algae.

Sorry, I haven't got a picture handy...

LuckyFish hasn't been online in over a year @jclaas . He also stopped all breeding, including growing phyto the moment the court cases started.

Does anyone know how it is going with Luckyfish?

Phytoplankton or algae culture.

I found this very practical. 20 litre, 60 bucks and it has got a tap.

Sorry for reviving an old thread, but does anyone know where I can get this container from? Plastics for Africa don't stock them anymore ( at least in Somerset West that is ) and mambos have the same thing but the plastic is tinted blue and I'm concerned this will inhibit the light penetration.

Please help.

Mine had a blue tint too & worked ok but yes I'd prefer it clear, not sure where you're going to get a clear one

Geez old thread indeed , We have a lot of those containers all over in plastic shops here they go for about R60 or more depending on size .

Thanks guys, at the moment I can only find them in a slight blue colour, not completely transparent.

If anyone knows where to source the non-blue type in the Cape, please advise.

Ok, this is what ive managed to find so far. If the general consensus is that it is too blue tinted to allow light penetration to culture the algae, then I will use this for something else and continue my search.
