Guys, im planning on buying a polario in the next week and from what iv read its a good pump , but are people still experiencing issues with the controller ?

Yes Junz. Im on my 3rd controller and still having issues. I just hope they gonna sort out this issue.
Meks, do you think its still worth it to buy one or should i rather look at something else ? at that price ther isnt much pumps out there.

Junz, if the controller was in proper working order, it is well worth the money. The flow it gives off is excellent.

I would say a Tunze dude. I bought 3 * 6105 a few months back, not a single issue with any of the pumps. If you are prepared to wait for Polario to be sorted out, then it is worth the wait.
meks, if you dont mind me asking , how much you paid for the tunze's ? and are they the one's that are controllable ?

Yes Junz. It is the controllable pumps. I cant remember exactly. Drop George a pm, hi might be able to help you out.

Mines is gone so bad that my controller switches off completely and so does the pump.

not what i want to hear but then the truth seldome is.. was this after the replacement fan? and why is the pump stopping? back to the drawing board.

It is my third controller and still giving me hassles. Basically, the fan stops spinning although it isnt touching anything, and then off.....

I wish someone could answer that question for us.
I had mine's fan replaced (thanks guys from Idol Marine)...working like a charm.
SIMS also put me in contact with the supplier directly and had a long chat. Apparently when you clean them there is only one way of putting them together i.e dont swap the ends around L to R and so forth.
Not sure if this was only talk though.

No Andreas, this one looks completely different. My old one was a flimsy plastic thing, this ones housing seems to be re inforced...hope this makes sense
