Polario ML22 - 22000lph flow pump review

i have one off these and must say the flow is really awesome. the noise for the controller is very irritating its due to bad design of the fan in the controller, very small blades thus needs to run at very high speed to do the work, but i suppose if the controller stays pretty cool the little fan wont come on as its just a cooling fan. as for the pump itself its simple its a servo motor they do tend to make that noise, the pump (motor) would be much bigger to produce that flow if it where not a servo. servo motors provide tremendous power outputs with little power input. thats why most forms of robotics etc use servo motors

It isnt the pump that makes so much noise..its the damn comntroller fan...

The pumps aswell Ridwaan. Ask Andreas, he was at my place and realized how annoying it is. Like I mentioned my flat is double story, and when im downstairs I still hear that irritating whine.

HHHmmm- for the cost of that "thing" I would MUCH rather stay with SunSun's, my ReSun's and SEIO's.... They are indeed "unsightly" - but in a 2 metre tank, you do not really notice them that badly....

I know that you would want to consolidate, and have ONE pump instead of 10.... but still....

The pump does make a noise but not as bad as the controller. It isnt a loud sound..just a whiny zinnnnnggg sound coming from the controller. But Ive managed to get rid of that sound by cutting out 3 pieces of grid infrony of the little fan of the controller..now all i hear is the sound of the pump changing direction.

I went through 2 controllers and both of them had the same sound issue coming from the controller..

Other then that, very nice pump, very nice flow...cant complain.

Ridwaan, you see, this should all be sorted out at the factory, not for the buyer to see to. For the money spent, we deserve the best.

Having more pumps would still give you a more diverse flow.I dont mind the seios at the moment but will add one or two more between my aquascaping to hide them. 4X6000l imo in better than 2X12000l;)but 4X12000l would be better:whistling:

I agree with you 100% there...

Atleast the supplier (Aquarium Depot) was good enough to exchange the controller everytime I brought it in with a problem...

I think Scott should complain to the manufacturer about the irritating sounds...

Exactly my point. No point in changing the controllers all the third. Im getting another one, infact it is already here and I need to collect it. If this one packs up......

If this one packs upo.....all hell breaks loose...LOL!

I just came off the TAAM website where I complained about the sounds...
Maybe do the same Mekaeel...

TAAM and Aquarium Depot has replied to my complaint.TAAM says that they have replaced the old fans with better quality fans and Aquarium Depot confirmed that they will replace all controller fans with the newer better quality ones for the controller..Aquarium Depot is just waiting for the shipment containing the fans to come in and then we will be sorted out...

Excellent service from both TAAM and Aquarium depot...

Eish, TAAM... so close yet so far... How did they spend so many years in development and then come up with this kind of quality?

My controller made the same whining noise in the beginning, but it has now stopped and the fan is still working, guess I got lucky

What about lubricating the fan? i know its supposed to be supplied in good working order but is it a possibility.
