Orca nitra guard bio cubes discussion

Doing a fabulous job!

So good to hear about another happy customer! I have had only the best results from the cubes, don't know how they work, but I don't care!:D

Jaques, the cubes are very good, but, I think the addition of oxygen, reducing CO2 was the cause of the fast cyano reduction.

It wasnt the cubes :p

The next day the cyano were back :)

A week later i found it was my salanity

But the cubes does work well.

i would comment, but i have been told i am bias...
but the results can be seen in my new tank

Do you have to replace the cubes I have had them in my tank for 6 months now.

Thanks Butcheman they dont seem to be getting smaller since December so I wonder. Are they suppose to go a darker colour?

I put them on a floating pool basket with an airstone inside and I run some in a bag as well in the sump.

They will only dissipate as they consume nutrients and the load on your systemSo in times of low nutrients they will last longer
Colour not to much on an issue unless they go black

What are your current levels of NO3 and PO4

Would be good to see nitrate and phos values

For the phosphate and nitrate regulating the cubes are unbeatable!! Have been running then for probably a month and my current phospahte level is 0.00 checked with the Hannah thing and my nitrate is 1ppm!!!

These are THE bests and most easy to use carbon source

Ps I have run biopellets and compared to the cubes it's a mission to get going

Thanks

how much air are you pumping into the bag?
they look fine to me, just need to see the params of NO3 and PO4

Thanks Dallasg I have alot of GHA and just cant seem to get rid of it
can we get a pic of the tank and affected areas, and will need the PO4 and NO3 readings.
also are you topping up with RO, what is the TDS?
Old or new LR? do you have a thread?

I have pics under my thread not sure if you can see the GHA properly I will try take clearer ones and post them there.
I must get those test kits and also a TDS meter to test my RO water as I make my own.
