i have the 6025 in a 60l and with decent aragonite it all stays in place
what pump have you put in there mek ?
you not having any specails on your bigger pumps ?

I also got the 6025 in my Boyu tl450. The substrate I am using is Caribbsea Aragonite (fine).
At the moment I have the pump facing the water surface, but it is still too powerful for that little tank.

What type of pumps (lt/h) and electrical consumption (Watts) do you have in the tank at the moment?
What kind of biotope do you actually have (sps, lps, fish only)
Once i get the info I will advise accordingly.

Apologies George...should have given you the info:
The corner tank (tang tank) polario ML 22 (would keep this) & Seio m1500, lps, sps & softies
The rectangular tank (trigger tank) seio prop's 2 x 1500 & 1 x 320 (if I remember correctly
)...no corals in this tank as the triggers tend to mess them up
frans for the sps i would def recomend using tunze, from others ive spoken to they say sps seem to respond to the flow from tunze very well, certainly better than competitive cheaper brands of pumps

Frans. With out a controller you are just getting one straight flow. When the pumps are on the 7095 Controller, you can make them pulse, alternate basically anything you want it to do. As for the Polario, it is a piece of Sh1t. You know im talking from experience.
LOL Mek..hear you, I wont even put the pooo lario in the classifieds...going to use it in my koi pond

Awesome pump but still gives directional flow ....
Just got off the phone with George, ordered 2 x 6055 Tunze's + programmable controller. Thanks for all the advice George

It is the controller on the Polarios Ahmed. What a flop.
george, whats your feeling on the "tunzemod" of cutting half the fins away to increase the intake and thus the out take?

I believe the mod does increase the performance, but I don't know how it effects the life of the pump or how a piece of floating debris will effect the impeller.
imo leave things as they are at least your warranty is still intact.

George , I have the first gen nanos. I spoke to you awhile back at a meeting about them. Picked them up at a sop that should not have sold them to me. Anyway... the shaft have broken. Is it possible to get the new shaft to replace them in the 1st gen nanos. Also both brackets on the mounts broke with in 3 months. Van I replace the bracket ad well. I kow that Tunze have corrected all the problems with the first gen. These are great pumps! Thanks!
