I was looking at the Sylvania 54w actinic T5s next to the Aqua medic equivalents. There's definitely a difference. AM was brighter and bluer.

Still, what counts is staying power. I plugged in a couple of new Dazs 54s and they were amazingly bright. Within a week they were the same level as the bulbs they were supposed to replace (can't remember the old brand).

yeah tank is running.........but roll out sump is to be completed in the next 2 weeks.
currenly the system runs on a tunze bio-reactor / skimmer.
the vortechs are running too..
will take some pics later......

This tank is stunning in real life. I took pics of it a while back, but they really did not do it justice

okay....managed to take some quick pics fop you guys.
the tank has been running like this without having the sump , or chiller connected....
been re-modelling the pull out sump to house my new tunze doc skimmer 9410.
myself and george will be on a mission oer the next week to complete it.

at the begginning
note the water level is below the canopy as the sump is not connected so i had to keep the water below the coast to coast
