Hi Folks,

So the same old story, Nano was too small & I spend so much time in my study, I deserve a larger thank there LOL (anyway that is how the sales pitch went to the wife)

Many thanks to my better half & also to my brother Dean, who did 90% of the installation

So down came the Nano

  • 1300mm x 500mm x 360mm (+- 200L)
  • 1700 lph return pump
  • Slime Line Overflow & Return
  • TS1 Skimmer
  • MP10 Vortech
  • Additional power-head (3000 lph)
  • 2 x 200watt heaters
  • Profilux Dosing Pump
  • Reef Octopus Lighting unit (2x 150watt DE MH 20,000k)
  • Also includes 4 x 24watt Blue Actnics, fans & moonlights
  • Battery Back Up

I wanted to create something completely different to my other tank

& decided to go for an SPS tank, with a Clam & Brain for good measure. Got all my frags from Adrian (Adee – many thanks)

Then for fish - only small fish & create an environment for Yellow Head Jawfish., so I made one side real deep for the Yellowhead Jawfish & added “bits & pieces” for them – guess what, they all went to other sections of the tank LOL – will wait & see what happens?

Anyway enough talking, here are the pictures – let me know what you think?

Cheers
Michael B

Thanks Boet & again thanks for all your patience & time on this build - I really appreciate it

looking good...nd u have a step in ur tank...awesome!!

Thanks & yip the step (deeper side) was for some Yellowhead Jawfish

lovely tank. beautifullyn laid out and incredibly clean. I dont know how you and your brother find the time to clean glass like u do, ive just left my tank for two and a half weeks without cleaning it, but then again I ahve very little algae.

i love the step down aspect and the tanks got a lovely overflow.

that fairy wrass is a real beaut, any chance of pairing it up (i didnt notice its partner).

why not look at some different crustacians for that tank, a pom pom crab for example. its small enough that you would see him regularly, and a purple reef lobster might be an option too.

lovely tank once again

ingeneous.

some nice sps frags there...quite big for frags i think

Thanks & yip got some nice sizes from Adee

Thanks crispin, & yip I am a pain in the butt when it comes to cleaning the glass LOL - hoping to also get a system with very litle algae. Appreciate the ideas, always helps to others ideas & concepts.
