First Medium Sized Tank (with pics)

Hi Folks,

Still very new to this awesome hobby & took the leap with a medium size tank (started a few months ago with My-Nano cube) – 300l plus

Here are the specs & some photo’s – been cycling for a few weeks, so not long to go now J

  • 1500mm (w) x 500mm (d) x 500mm (h)
  • Corner Box Overflow (a little too loud?)

  • Sump – 1400mm (w) x 450mm (d) x 400mm (h) – fully enclosed
  • Chambers – Skimmer / Filter Matt & Ceramic Rings / Heater / DSB with Cheato / Return Pump & Chem Pure Elite / Automatic Top Up on float switch

  • Skimmer – Deltec
  • Return Pump – Hailea HX6530 (1,750lph)
  • Heaters – 2 x ViaAqua (300w each)
  • Powerhead – 1 x Sunsun (3,000lph) & 1 x Twin Sunsun (6,000lph)
  • Lighting – T5’s (2 x white, 1 x Blue & 1 x Purple)
  • Cooling – 2 x Dymax Windy w-4
  • Phosban Reactor 150

very very nice setup there!:thumbup: i like your scaping.
your photography looks great too,those borders give the photo a lovely look;)
well done and please keep us updated with pics as you progress.
 
A quick update & from what I have read, an update without a pic or teo is useless LOL

Added two open brains (gave them a piece of fish each which they devoured in minutes), one Chalice & tube worm.

Looks very Clean and Well presented, Just add 2years to this and you will have a jaw dropping reef.

Just a quick update (with a few pics) – while my tank was still cycling I was collecting Ricordeas & my brother was keeping them in his tank for me (all neatly glued / placed on a rock) & I finally got it into my tank.

Also got a Midas Blenny – what a character
