Ok Update time.

Managed to finish the tank. All I can say is this is the last tank I will ever build. Working with black silicone is one tall order.
Not completely happy with tank but it will have to do. Atleast its a million times better than my previous tank.

Masked the back out today so that I can Spraypaint it black.

Also bought the plumbing, Hell PVC fittings adds up.

Will put the tank on the stand. This will be one hell of a mile stone for this build. Also will start the plumbing.

Update.

Tank is still not filled. Ran into a bit of trouble. Turns out that the Galvanizing did warp my stand a little. So on 1 of the 6 legs, the stand is lower by 2.5mm. This means that in one corner the tank is not touching the polystyrene.

What I did was got some of that black foam strips you buy at builders. I added these foam strips between the steel stand and the shutter ply top. will screw it down tonight and compress the foam to the correct height until the top is completely level.

It should be fine just thought that the black foam might compress more under the extra water load

Ah ok I think I get what you mean. The thing is when i tighten the shutter ply down to the stand, Im going to compress the foam completely flat in the areas that was level. Then on the one edge where the stand is 2.5mm lower Ill compress the foam down just until the shutterply is level with the other corners.
