Maintenance tips

tip 15. Find a reefing buddy close by or train your non reefer to do the basics incase you travel (once again, thanks warr! :))

tip 16. if it looks to good to be true, it usually is, 2nd opinions are gold

Tip 17 - clean air tube of skimmer regularly to ensure good air intake always

Tip 18 - prune algae regularly to ensure good nutrient export and prevent from going sexual in the case of caulerpa.

Tip 19 - Buy a new toothbrush for R10 from Pick a Pay or anywhere. Cool scrubbing device.
(Do not use your old one, its OK that you end up with SW in your mouth sometimes, but not for the fish to taste your old toothpaste)

tip 20 always keep salt, RO water, silicone, towels and buckets in good supply

22. Need a vacuum your tank?

If you are running a Durso overflow and the air cap on the top (one that normally has the piece of airline coming out of it) is loose, IE not glued, remove it and stick a piece of tubing, say 12- 20mm thick down its throat, and place the other side under water and it will start sucking though the pipe, now start vacuuming your tank..... almost forgot, obviously place some filter cloth over the end of the pipe coming into the sump, perhaps with an elastic band to catch the dirt.

Great basic tips for starters to the hobby.
Suggestion: are you able to put into a list and have it posted as a link in the site.
