The mandate of the Public Protector is to strengthen constitutional democracy by investigating and redressing improper and prejudicial conduct, maladministration and abuse of power in state affairs; resolving administrative disputes or rectifying any act or omission in administrative conduct through mediation, conciliation or negotiation; advising on appropriate remedies or employing any other expedient means; reporting and recommending; advising and investigating violations of the Executive Members Ethics Act of 1994; resolving disputes relating to the operation of the Promotion of Access to Information Act of 2000, and discharging other responsibilities as mandated by the following legislation:

marcel you seem to hope that the guys trying to prosecute you are just going to leave you alone eventually. this is not going to happen. they are going to throw everything they have at you and you are going to have a hard time saving your fish. we all suggest the various t it doesn't seem you are trying to contact carteblanche etc what has happened to"blitskrieg". the best form of defense is???? attack but you are allowing yourself to be victimised.

Glen, I am aware of the fact that they want to nail me at any price.
But you must also understand that I am not giving up on getting my permits. As soon as I will have my permits, I have to deal with the very same people on a regular basis.
So just shooting them as quick as possible, will make my life even more difficult in the long run. I tried to talk sense into them and also told them that we should work together to get my things here legal. I further offered them my help to create a smallscale hatchery permit, but there is no interest from their side.
Fighting against wind mills.:(
 
yes but they get paid to do a job. if they are not doing their job they should be sorted out. if they are trying to nail yourbut for no good reason it is a few idiots not the whole department . the department will ways be there but not the people.many times people higher up will help you if you make them aware of the problems you are having. if you do nothing in south African culture they are going to screw you cos they can.
 
Trying to look on the bright side- perhaps this will bring the matter to a head. It does not look like it was going anywhere fast through the government channels. After the court tomo I would contact Helen Zille or your local DA rep. Good luck for tomo.

Sorry about the dates. I am a new member but have influence with DA and you need to pull rank not play in court. Anyway trying to help. Family is well connected to DA and hoping that we can help.
