Wouldn't mariculture mean that you have to have sold some fish? Or does it only refer to the breeding thereof?

The marine life resource act says clearly, for every marine organism that gets cultered, you must have an aquaculture permit.
That means, fear if you frag corals and grow cheto.
That stupid law should be for indigenous species only and for exotic ones if a flow through system will be used.

a few years ago my mother was stabbed, raped and tied up for several hours in our house. 3 cops came, and the oke is still running around out there. every time we try and get an update we hit a brick wall.
now they send 8 (eight????? ) cops to sort out someone who is breeding fish? and it's only legally grey?
i've just had a sense of humour failure.

That is a very sad story, that you have told. I dont know hat to say about it.
But just for the record, 8 fisheries inspectors came to pick me up. Not cops.
Still a waste of taxpayers money. 8 inspectors from 7.30 until 12am. For what?

i sent all the details i have and people to contact...
i am fine with this, my setup is not in SA yet, not until i get mariculture permit
but now that you said your work permit was invalid for this, it does make sense...
its similar to the H1B visa in usa, if u go as IT you can only do it, nothing else, not even charity work

yes, but had to re-apply for change of address and zoning, so until its re-issued without alteration i have been advised to not start.
i even had to get a 3rd party to inspect
well i never had any issue, i followed their instructions, got all paper work done, called the people they say i should, got a letter from them, applied and had everything certified etc.
like applying for a cities permit.
the hard part is explaining that there is no waste going into the local systems, like flushing old sea water in the drain.. etc
getting the municipality to make sure u are zoned correctly, the forms are 1 page
