It is like that for everything, next time you in the US or Europe go to a Ferrari dealer and you see how insanely rich these 1st world countries are.
We have 3 Ferrari showrooms in RSA with a total of 10 demo cars.
A socialist country like France has over 20 dealers with each dealer having more than 15 demo cars each.
While the 1st world holds all the power, little countries like RSA get left behind with no hope of catching up.

Ha Ha, 40 million, 50% unemployment compared to the UK's 120 million with 1% unemployment.
You guys have the strongest currency around R16 = 1 pound.
You guys also have one of the highest GDP's around, we would have increase our population by a 1000 times, while keeping our GDP constant and reduce unempolment by 100% just to get into the top 10 richest countries.
That is not going happen in a 1000 or even 10000 years, so we have to except our fate as a poor African 3rd world country
