Only a year in the build!

Agree, great setup - will look awesome once matured. Nice job man

Thanks for all the nice comments. As the tank matures I will try and update regularly.

One of the things I don't like about the setup are my big Seio's in either corner. I am thinking of getting the buyo wavemaker with controller. Can anyone tell me if these are any good.

Thanks again

Hi everyone

Herewith an update again. Had a little disaster a few months ago when we were without power for almost 72 hours. I lost nearly all my sps frags which I had just got. The only real survivor was the purple tip and a small monti. I had a generator but the temp in the tank had already dropped to 19 degrees. Felt like crying.

Anyway, back on track now and just some quick pics.

Looking good!!

RE. ive heard those wave makers are good(for what you are paying for them)
but ive also heard and see more than once were the controllers gets too hot, melts and then makes a short. So just keep that in mind.

I love the minimilist approach to this tank , less rock/fish/corals. Very nice indeed.
How often do you clean the glass ??? This tank would rock with 2xtunzes or 2xvortechs but alas both are not cheap.

Thanks Afsal. The front pain I clean with magnets whenever it gets a bit dirty or when I feel like.

The back and sides I clean once a week on the weekend. I also use a blade for stubborn green algae which seems to form in dots. I found that if I clean at least once a week it reduces the big job cleans and does not really allow the coraline or stubborn algae to take a foot hold.

It is a bit of a pain but takes me about half and hour.

really beautiful man, nice crisp and clean.

Freudian slip, but so descriptive of cleaning the glass. ;)

Stunning looking tank.

I meant to do that Len...............no, it actually was a slip. Thanks for the laugh this morning.

Thanks for nice comments. It is really nice when people comment and recognise ones efforts.
