Lighting on TL550

Hi

Are there a way to split the lights and the 2 moonlight LED's power? I want to put both on a timer but can't put it on the same timer.

Let me know what you guys are doing.

The only way to do it is to replace the one cable that comes from under the lid.
I have not done it yet, but will be doing it soon.

If you use the same multicore cable that they use in Trailers for example, they can be split outside the tank and connected to different plugs.

if you open the lid(see pic below) you will see there are two little silver transformers. they run the fans and thel leds.So what you must do is follow the wire from the led light to see which transformer runs it.The transformer will be connected to the light switch, to the led lights.(Does it make sense). You can disconnect it and just run if of an old cell charger.Hope this make sense. I suck at explaining diy.

@Charl_Stanhope - Thanx for the picture - this will help a lot with my planning. I will be running a 9 core wire to the lid as I have added a extra T24 under the lid.
