As for coverage I doubt on a 105w unit that you going to get the penetration needs for sps at 600mm, the radions are 140w pacific suns 145 - 150 w and they both recommend no deeper thank 600mm with the fittings 100mm off the surface! Both of these units use lenses to enhance the led s output?
 
You guys are losing focus. Instead of criticizing you guys should be thankful that SA is getting an awesome variety of products, the sponsors could all just sit and not bother to import anything new and different, choices would be much more limited then and you would all be crying "why is nobody importing other led's" etc. So let's rather focus on the positive, the fact that new and different products are being imported into the country. Companies all over the world use words in different contexts to grab your attention, it's called advertising. So let's all be happy that there is another lighting option available for us to buy and lets look forward to the next release from TSR coming soon.

Hi NO3

Its a huge myth that unlensed LED cannot keep SPS at over 600mm i have been keeping SPS under unlensed LED's for over 2 years at depths over 600 mm i know for a fact that there are units out there unlensed that will keep SPS at 1000mm.

Please understand guys TSR spends thousands of rands and many hours walking around trade shows, importing and testing products so that guys in the hobby can benefit and get quality trend setting affordable products.

These LED units where imported for a few simple reasons .

They are good quality
They are trendsetting (they are unlensed, this is the way all LED lighting unit will eventually be designed)
They are full spectrum
They are dimmable with on board lighting computer sunrise and sunset capable
They use CREE LED's
They are nice to look at.
They have good mounting options

Please explain what you mean. I asked it earlier as well. I understand the other benifits you have listed but what do you mean with the above statement? I am on the cuff of buying my first LED unit and I really want to know.
 
Yes, what do you mean. Very bold statement. It is competing b against some serious hardware out there. Radions, Vertex, pacific suns. It's great you're bringing in new goods for reefers, but substantiate statements in full, please.

Hi Bendor

These are the most affordable unlensed Cree LED units available at the moment in South Africa.
 
what is quality like on these units , chinese brands are notorious for not lasting long having electrical faults due to bad quality control that said alot of companies produce in China but have implemented good quality control

Hi Achilles


We have had so many Chinese LED units at TSR and these are hands down the best we have ever seen, they are also from a company we have purchased from before they have a good following overseas and we have sold over 100 of there 4 generation LED units with very little returns etc.

The units come with a 1year manufacturers warranty and TSR will extend this warranty for you at a small extra fee for a further year.:thumbup:

Lastly the units are well designed and the LED's are run well below there threshold to ensure longevity.
