Secondly, wouldent it have been easier for maintance if the sump was raised off the ground say at 500 or 600mm of the grond?

Hey Evo (I hope that is what you drive;))

What Luis means with cycling, it is still new, not ammonia,nitrite cycling.
This tank is round 3 months old.

Why we did not raise the sump: the floor that the tank stands on and sump is the same level, so we only had a 1000mm drop over 15meters, I was worried that we would get a backup of water in the tank.

Brett the owner is not sure how heavy he wants to stock the tank, but I knew he wanted sps, so if it comes to the point that we need to run the reactor very hard to keep up with the demand then we will add a kalkreactor( we left space for it).
We prefer to go with out a component if it is not truly needed, less maintenance;)

The reef will be quite small for a tank this size, Brett wanted a blue spotted ray as the main feature in the tank, hence plenty of open sand space.

As far as I know no-one else in SA gets it in.

We like the clean look it gives our installations, it's a bit more expensive than the usual blue stuff, but if you want it we can supply it:).

We do keep a whole range.

That grey box is the return pump.;) It's a big bugger because it had to push quite a long way to the tank.:)
