Boyu 550 tank limits.

hi!

i bought a second hand tank that had 2 clownfish. i have since added a dwarf angel, cardinal and goby. i also have 2 shrips.

what is the reccommended number of livestock i can keep in this tank?

Hi and welcome!

well where you are at now seems to be ok, how long have you kept marines?
i wouldnt add more than this for a few months and get to know the system...

you can add plenty of soft corals, mushrooms and 1 or 2 pieces of LPS corals as the weeks go by.

what species of clown fish is it?

I would let the tank settle for now. Corals you can add depending on your lights.

i have had the tank since March and after a long struggle with nitrates, i finally got the perfect water conditions.

i have 2 clarkii clownfish with a bubble coral.

Clarkii gets rather big. So less other fish at the end of the day.

Hi and welcome the Boyu tanks are nice to start with but you will soon realize limitations.

they are great tanks, i still have mine from 4 years ago, i remember after about 8 months i changed the lights and added a better skimmer i kept SPS, clams etc no problems, but a good start

They are great little tanks , mines been going strong for a little over 3 years now.love the tank but ran out of space quickly and haven't been able to add anything for about a year as a result. I love it though.
