back from paradise!

Agreed, the Black tang has a very elongated snout, almost a third of its body length.
Also it is exclusively found in the lagoon areas of the reefs on the Christmas Islands so those fish in the pics are def not Black Tangs.Still nice looking Scopas there.

just a few weeks left and im back there for a month.......
i have chartered a boat for a few trips on the outer reefs of mont choisy, point aux cannonier, tamarin and benitier.......
camera ready so watch this space.
got some meetings lined up with a few exporters too.
i have also confirmed an agent there for our products (mostly water purification) but there will be a few marine stuff there too......looks like we in for a busy month.....
will try get some good pics..........hope the weather is not par bone!
will keep an eye out for them rare ones.
last time i saw some was off le coin de mere and of round island.....bit of a hectic rough dive......but worth it:thumbup:

le coin de mere.......about 8 km from the coast of mauritius.......half way point between mauritius and gabriel and flat islands.
very steep rock face island that is prohibited to set foot on....bird conservation
steep wall drops underwater that host a wide variety of fish species ranging from game patrolling the walls aswell as marine specimens in the shallower sections
