Can some one advise us on coral suitable for percula clowns. We hope they clowns will take to the coral but don't want to risk injury to the clowns or coral. Ideally, coral for low down in the tank (45 cms from light). We have a 5ft tank.

We have 4 small clowns (1 inch). No coral as yet but planning ahead.

Soft corals like pincushions, colts, kenya trees etc are prob your best options. Ive even seen percs host in xenia.
BUT remember that theres no guarantee that they will host in the coral you want them too.

how big is your tank? coz I started with 8 clowns(all really tiny) and as soon as they started reaching adult size they started attacking eachother. Ive heard that you can only keep 2 clowns of the same species. correct me if Im wrong please.

What happened to the rest of your clowns? they kill each other:(?? That many clown can only work in a very very big tank.....

My clowns hosted in xenia before I moved them to my new tank. They now host in my pagoda. If the coral can handle the buffering from the clowns then it should be OK. Corals like elegance, hammer, frogspawn or heliofungia are more delicate and may die from the clowns constant buffering

No,only lost one but had to give the rest away, except 2.(was 120*6. An expensive mistake. She even sold me a tomato clown to put in with them, that I took out after 1 day and forced the lfs to take it back. luckily I did. Ive never been back to my lfs. Have to drive 1 1/2 hours to get to another one though but Ill rather support someone who gives you good advice.(And I do the research before buying something)

There is not guarantee that clowns will host even in a nennie

With regard to clowns, can different clown species be mixed? Percula and clarks for example?
