Wow, any reason why you went so high? Just for shits and giggles?

Very impressive.

Very impressive.

Going that high adds to the "WOW" factor when viewing the tank. And it gives them a reason to literally get into the tank when doing maintenance ect.

Would like to know what kind of light source they're going to use, to punch through 1.3m of water?

Harold there is only one light for the job...Vertex 360 units..the softies will not be placed at 1.3...we will position them higher on the aquascape.

Lovley system. Some challenges presented but its nice to follow and learn.

Deep systems have always interested me but I have been put off as a hobbyist because of maintenance. Maybe being a buisness it will be more successful as there are certaon things that have to be done and not when you want to.

what thickness glass did you use??

thats down the road from me :)

Impressive

The overflow slot, I would rather have a full length overflow instead of that notch cut out of the glass. On those corners is the weakest spot on this tank. Mudshark lost his tank due to a crack from that corner. Unless you heavily brace it, but still, must ensure that the overflow box and pipes do not put extra weight onto the tank on the outside.

Other than that, looking good

we are using 30mm Opti on the sides and 45mm on the base..external overflow box is still to be attached to the side where the cut out is....should not be a problem with this glass thickness..
