As title says, what do you think is an underrated coral? At the moment we see lots of fancy high end corals with crazy names, but what coral do you think gets over looked?

I think the superman mushroom doesnt get the credit it deserves. Its brightly coloured, seriously easy to take of, and it multiples easily but not to pest proportions like some of the other mushrooms. This pic is taken of one in my sump under a 10w led floodlight.

I only got it last week and it needed to be re-glued to the rock it was on. Want to make sure its firmly attached to the rock before it goes in the main tank.
Just a question, glue mushrooms to a rock? They have a foot like an anenome for they can move around. Wont you damage the mushroom? You dont glue anenomes to a rock?!

Large grown out colonies are under appreciated .
Agreed Agreed Agreed. Less is more and more of less is..... well yes....more. Have been noticing a trend lately where it seems to be fashionable to throw as many corals as quickly as possible at a tank. To each his own, but my recurring thoughts have been.... Are you just putting in as many as possible to increase the chance that some will survive, Do you have any idea that these things actually grow, and fight, and suck up "parameters??"
Admittedly I have to stop myself still from doing the same, and fortunately my budget helps in a huge way with buying a lot less than I would want, but my reassurance is that once the few I have grow, my tank wil look a lot more like I want it to, and a lot less than an lfs display / sales tank.

Fox corals, these do not get enough love. The creamy peach and hints of green is just too gorgeous

Poccis and stylos, might be pretty common, easy to keep and in no way as easy to photoshop into something out of this world like acropora tenius or echinatas, but they make for awesome colour contradts when they are bright, pink and big.

Candy Canes
Definitely one for the list. They used to be really common.

It is a pity that you dont see more bigger colonies. Do you perhaps have any pictures of yours?

They also not the slowest growers. Do you have any pics?

The pocci only about fist size about 12cm across, so wouldnt consider it large yet but only started the tank in Dec.

Hi David, I have just acquired one, but she doesn’t seem to be settling. How are you caring for your’s in regard to feeding and water flow, thanks

I dont specifically feed my any of my corals. Mushrooms arent really too fussy about light/flow, i have mine at the bottom of the tank in medium flow and low-ish light. How long have you had it?
