Danie there a couple of methods of contacting reefers and sponsors.

If you look at the top of this thread you will see a banner of the waterboy. Click on it and you will be directed to a web or contact info.

The other is to simply send the poster a PM (private message)

So push the right buttons that ring bells and you will get answers. Hope this assists.

Marco i want 1 of the new patent flush valve systems anyone care to share shipping with me? Marco i need it with the double outlet cos my reefmaster only has the restrictor and i gota manually remove the restrictor everytime i need to flush the unit

ziyaad, the patent valve /restrictor is all in one....so you just connect it to the elbow on the waste side of the membrane!

dikdaan / dannie....give me a shout 082 879 39 43

Hi Marco

Since we on this topic. I have a Reefmaster. With the 3 containers. This also doesnt have a flush valve if i can remember only the healthy water output.

What would i need to upgrade it to the plus with inline TDS. Also what would the cost be.

Thanks

Hey Macro,

When are you flying up to Jhb? Would like:

hand held t.d.s meter (hm digital).............R 220.00 plus vat

Please let me know

Hi Marco and others,

Got my unit running the weekend for the first time. There are a few things about RO systems and RO manufacture which no one tells you or is not obvious. Firstly, the RO to waste ratio is about 25% RO versus 75% waste. Thats a lot of wasted water. The second thing which I found out and I'm not sure if this can be changed, is that you cannot connect the ro unit directly to your auto top up as the auto top up will close on the set level but the waste water keeps running. Is this right? If so one would have to run RO into a drum and then manually close the water from time to time and the drum can be connected to the auto top up.
Has anyone got a better way of doing this. It all seems to defeat the object of trying to have an automated system. Any ideas?

Tim

lol....not at all.....either you have extremley terrible water comming into the unit....or the membrane flush valve is open:razz:

secondly if you wish to automate the system you either need to purchase a way shut of pressure valve and ensure your pressure is below 3 bar of (reccomended) install a solinoid valve connected to a electric water level float swich;)

call me when you have a gap and i can explain what option will suit you:yeahdude:
