Hi All!!!

So my journey has begun... :slayer:

I bought Lanzo's 1.2M tank and i'm starting from scratch. I have been cleaning and making sure i have everything in place to begin.

My new Setup will consist of the following :

Tank : 1200 x 450 x 450
Sump with DSB (Reggies Sand)
ReefTek TS1 Skimmer
Heater ( Soon to be 2 Heaters ) I have loads of powercuts in my area

Lighting

2 x 150w 10000K MH
2 x 39w Anatics

Pumps and Wavemakers

Return Pump of 1500l / h which im thinking of pushing up to 2500 l / h
Resun Wavemaker
I will probably add another pump for water flow

I have been cleaning the sump and tank here are the photo's

I am also removing the mirror from the top of the tank and thinking of replacing it with black acrylic or something like that. Any suggestions are welcome PLEASE!!!

I'm also looking for a place who would supply this.

Hahahaha i actually know what u mean lol i had the same mirror stuff on some pieces of glass that i wanted to use to build my sump wow hahaha anyways dude good luck sounds like you know what u wanna do so enjoy!!!!!
 
HEY nice to see its comming along :) looks like its had a royal clean out:)

what did you use to clean with?

sounds like you have most of what you need with regards to equipment, will be good to get it firer up and cycling away:)

You i should have taken photo's of before i started cleaning... oh well you guys know how dirty things get.

Ive been using white viniger. Everyone says its the best thing.

Then i've been rinsing everything out with RO Water.

Fanks! that was my first towel when i was 5 years old on the beach :)
 
its always amasing what a freash perspective can do to a tank.. good work there dude.. enjoy

Was working on the tank last night and kinda slipped and cut my finger with the blade that i'm using to remove the mirror.... R550 later and a few stiches i'm all ready to go again :D
 
A dedicated reefer in the making. At least you're OK
 
Sorry to hear bud,take it easy.Only bad things occur quickly in reefkeeping.You should have your stiches removed in 7 days.All the best.

Sounds like me bud....also cut my hand a couple of weeks ago:biggrin:


Every thing seems nice and clean man....great work, cant wait to see it up and running.
