Hey everyone.

Time to start sharing pics of my nano tank. Hope I am posting in the correct forum.

So as I have mentioned I bought this tank from a guy who had no time to maintain the tank. Not much in the tank except for some shrooms and aptasia.

The guy I bought it from actually suggested I visit the MASA site for advise and ideas.

I let the tank run for a week. During that time I chatted with the guys at the LFS and get advise on how to rehabilitate the tank.

First step was to clean the tank. So I removed the LR and put it in a bucket with water from the tank. Then I placed the substrate into another bucket.

Cleaned the coraline off the glass, added the substrate and LR then filled the tank with new saltwater.

Hi bud, tank looks great. Keep an eye on the temp as these tanks tend to heat up during the day, a fan is a good idea.

@Morak yes on the really hot days I open the lid and use a fan.

On mine i removed the flap and placed a fan there. Fan is on the same timer as the lights. Heater is set to 26 and the tank is stable at that temp.

I also did this mod to the lid.

Helps to suck out all the heat generated by the internal components(transistors/resistors???).

Awesome pic and what a nice improvement. Well done.

Thanks!

I was amazed after about 2 weeks from my first water change I started understanding when one says 'live rock'

Have some GSP and Zoa's suddenly start growing from nowhere.

It is so rewarding watching my tank as it transforms from what it was into something amazing.

Lol and I only have a nano tank..
