Nitrates to high

Quite a high bioload for such a small setup, but if they are small fish it should be ok. Although you have some decent filtration, which should assist to keep it in check.
That sponge filter, why? And how often do you clean it?
Any sand in the display tank?

Are there any bioballs in overflow.

Definitely not a test kit I would use. As mentioned, have your water tested by someone else.

yes i have sand in the DT and it is small fish. the sponge is more to catch all the bugs that fly into the tank after the lights and then drown and just clog everything, I clean it ones a week.

Great news i found a huge detritus trap under the live rock in the sump were the cluster dusters were. I removed the live rock and cleaned everything and did a water change and the nitrate is down to 20. I did the cleanup and water change on monday and tested for nitrate tonight.
