Thanks, and what did the extra stuff cost?

Extra light was expensive like R250... Heater was cheap as chips 50W cant remember price

Oh bunny bottle was R39 :) tubing was R20 per meter

Very impressive Matt! Very neat. I can see this finishing off like one of the international pico's ;)

Thanks Mek :)

Checked my ATO today, used 45ml so this bunny water bottle ATO should only need to be topped up every week and a half :)

absolutly wicked.
gonna call brynn tommorrow to organise one for my son.....well done dude.
i read up on em a few months back ans was a bit sceptical.......but convinced now.
gonna call you next week to ensure i understand the bunny bottle to up........really awesome

Hahaha.

I have a question/problem with temperature control. LED's dont put out any heat so tank doesn't get hot, but i've set the heater to +-25 and I noticed the temp ranges from 25 to 27. Is this alright?? My other nano was rock solid at 25C with heater and chiller controlling it. I think perhaps this dymax 50w heater is just a bit kak?

as a matter of fact im so impressed with that little sucker im gonna give you a nano r.o i have here.
call me tommorrow so i can get your delivery addy.

Cool bud :) The top up is essential as that keeps SG stable. Most other water issues can be sorted with large water changes.

Sorry to say this dude, but other than that tank, the Dymax stuff is dodgy. I bought a digital thermometer, kept saying my tank was 29 degrees. Got myself a mercury therometer and the reading is 25, and there is no way to calibrate the Dymax :arghh:

So i would assume that heater is not working 100%

The only reason I bought this heater is it was the only 50W heater they had for sale. I'll definitely replace it as soon as I get the chance

I have a dymax digital thermometer too but its working perfect - tested it with my body temp :)

Damn Matt, thats so cool, 7L, must be a pleasure doing the water changes..... 1 cup out, 1 cup in.... LOL

Are you going to keep any fish in it, I mean what can you keep in it? maybe a damsel?

|Ighty: hehe yeah i'll be doing around 2L per week, or perhaps 2L twice a week :)

Warr: It was appx R700 for the tank and R250-R300 for the extra light :)

Anyone know of a SMALL reliable heater?? They even have clip on PC fans for sale if you have temp control problems - although then you'd need the guinea pig water bottle :lol::lol:

I wouldn't keep any fish that like to swim hehe. So perhaps a small yellow or green clown goby, but thats just if I can ensure the params are rock solid! For now I will keep coral and perhaps a few sexy shrimp. With time I might look into the goby.

Just a quick update:

Corals seem happy under these little LED lights
