Thanks bud. Will do when the new stock arrives as there is only 1 left they flew out of the store.

Trev, i have not experienced angels attacking lionfish but it is possible they do get territorial, however years ago i kept a Picasso trigger with a large Volitans Lionfish , although they got on for a long time without any issues , one day the picasso decided to nip one of the lionfish's dorsal spines. This resulted in an exposed needle on the lionfish's spine and the triggers mouth was swollen to 5 times it's normal size. The trigger could not eat for a week and was obviously in pain but did survive the injury and after 5 days the swelling went down.

I have taken the Maroon clown and Foxface out they are in another tank the space will be used for the last two fish, there is another chance of getting a Chrysurus in the next few days I am hoping for the best.

I have finaly got an Acanthurus Barriene and he is doing very well

I have a question that I cannot find an answer for, why do so many US and European fish keepers say that it is not advisable to keep large angels and lionfish together?

I've often had to put my large/older fish in my predator tanks due to space shortage, which has invariably resulted din adult Semicirculatus angles (bigger than you hand) living happily with lionfishes/stonefishes/paperfishes/anglerfishes/scorpionfishes/....

thaugh I would share this with you, I have noticed some type of dominating behaviour between my Lion and my Emporer. The Lion as most do often hangs upside down under ledges and other rock features I have then seen the Emporer come inn realy close to the lion and roll into a knife edge position so that the lion is now between the Emporer on one side and the rock on the other. The Emporer then moves in closer and closer over about 30sec until the lion becomes so uncomfortable that he swims off. No this doesnt only happen in one spot but more so all over the tank. Then I have also witnessed the lion lunge out and try to bite the Emporer on its side if the two are closer than the lion seems to prefer, but its not like those PAP lips can do any damage.

So there is definately some truth to the issues between these species of families of fish. But it must be noted that I only see this happening very seldomly, perhaps 1nce a month

that emperor better watch if if that lion decides to poke him it will be game over

Yeah thats what I thought but you should see how bold the other fish are around the lion, I think Lions are very timmid actauly and dont look to their strongest defence very often as I am able to touch and stroke mine already and he isnt really fazed and only gets spooked now and then when I put my hand near him.
