dosing help pls

Thought kalkvasser was only used to increase calcium and not Alk ?

Must I use something else to increase my calcium and then does the kalkvasser to maintain both alk and calcium ?

Increase calcium with a calcium supplement then use kalk to maintain KH and assist in maintaining calcium, depending on what you have in your tank you might need to dose calcium to keep things in check.

Yes I understand but I don't want to maintain at this point I want to increase from 370 to 420 then maintain can I do this in an 24hr period or must it be like 2 day eg
'Don't use Kalk to raise calcium levels. Best used to maintain levels and not raise them because a) it also increases alkalinity, b) has a high pH which can affect tank pH.

To raise levels of Ca look at using a Calcium Chloride based product - powdered ones offer more bang for buck than liquid ones.

Kalkwasser is calcium hydroxide. Hydroxide is obviously alkaline and although not alkalinity as we usually think of it in the hobby (i.e. bicarbonate/carbonate) I read an article by RHF where he shows how hydroxide can be converted into bicarbonate/carbonate in our systems.

Calsium

Hi guys i have a 120l Boyo tank with some corals ect. I tested all my water parameters yesterday and all intact, only one not within the range is the calsium measuring 330 and i would like to raise that to at least 420? What additive or step should i take to achive this?

It seems that the question to consider is not the levels to be maintained but rather the chemicals consumed by the system . Correct me if I am wrong guys but once you know what the system consumes you will be able to figure out what you need to add to either maintain (or raise) the parameters ...
