Sea star died

Hey there ppl.

My new seastar that i got last week died the next day.

So ive borrowed some test kits from Nsteyn.
And here is the levels.

What sould i do to get them down or up?
Please help PPL.

PH = 8.1
NO² = 0.1
CA = 450
NO³ = 1
KH = 5dkh
Amonia = <0.01 mg/l

Acording to me and what ive heard from friends i have to look at:
PH / NO² / NO³ / KH

Please give any advice.

How did you acclimatize it?
Or how long did you take to do it?

Hi Cw

Your KH is low you'll need pH buffer (sodium bicarbonate) to raise that up and your tanks NO3 is also high I would go for 0 and recommend more frequently water changes or you can go the algea scrubber root I find it works great for me to keep my tanks NO2, NO3 and PO4 very low.

You need to test PO4 ( Phosphates ) as well.

15min flowting it on the water and for 2hours i added a little bit of water every 15min.

What do you think of the levels RiaanP?

Hi there

Ive added calipra and cheto a while ago into the dsb.
So hopefully that would bring No2 and No3 down aswell.

Thatnx for the tips but how do i implement the sodium bicarbonate?
