Ya once I put the rock in the tank it stopped smelling. I bought a 22kg bucket of coral pro salt and used just over 5KG to fill my tank so Iv got water changes for a couple months. :thumbup: not going to use NSW. Iv decided not to add anything to my tank that I don't know what's in it and that includes Live rock that's live!
 
I was getting a lot of salt spray because of the bubbles from the airstone for the Bio Cubes so was thinking of ways to contain them. While I was doing that I was cleaning the filter sock in my return pipe and seeing all the bubbles coming out the the return pipe got me thinking of ways to use that instead of an air stone.

Behold my 2 in 1 bio cubes reactor/salt spray stopper :tt2:

Do you guys think its optimal conditions for the Bio Cubes? Lots of air and flow right?

How big is your tank? Is that enough cubes for your system?

Tanks going well! Havnt done anything or added anything since last update. Just letting it cycle. Havnt had any Cyano or algae yet but I have and the flow pumps on full so I dont think I am giving the Cyano a chance :tt2: Will be adding a CUC soon.
 
hey brettb2020, nice set up, just been reading through this tread from the start. Looks awesome.

So Im curious on the bio cube reactor, does all of your over go through that white pipe in to the reactor and then the water overflows out the top of the Bottle? I really like that make shift reactor. Think I should make one myself!!

Hey Guys! Tank it going well but unfortunately still no live stock:blush: I have done some aquascaping and will post pics on the weekend when I am home.

I go away for a couple days at a time for work so I am not adding live stock till I have finished everything on my tank. I am in no rush :tt2:

I am busy with a 6 head dosing pump that will be controlled by my Reef Angel with the new 12v power control expansion they have. Also waiting for the other pump for my automatic water changing system also controlled by my Reef Angel.

Once thats all done Il add live stock and couple SPS frags. :thumbup:
