Any idea if one could rip out the stock RSM 130 lights and just slot the 85w unit in its place?
Fish only?I have a tank 3m X 0.8m X 0.8m. What light would I use

Fish only?
Or with corals?
And then, what type of corals?
Rock scaping, is it high or low? How high can you mount your corals?
But seeing that you posted in a specific LED thread, then I assume you rather wanted to know how many of these units?
The 85w clusters got a coverage of 60x60x70cm. Just not enough to cover your tank front to back. Might need to go for the 170W mounted 90 degrees to the tank so that the coverage do get from the front to the back. But that on depend on how wide is your rock structure, but then again, do not want the front of the substrate to be in the dark.
Then at 60cm wide, for 3m tank you would need at least 5 units. I will go for 6 so that there is some overlap. It does depend on the height of the rock stack. If high, you might end up with spot light effects with only 5 units, as you do not have overlaps. So 6, maybe even more units.
I doubt the 85W will cover the tank from the front to the back. The 170 turned 90 degrees might.6 x170w
Hi Andre, do these lights come with the controller or do you need to purchase the controller separately?
Hi @Andre@ReefAquatics. What size tank have you got these lights on? Will you guys get in the 255w of these lights in some time?
