Think I might go for 2 X16k 2X Reef Whites(T5) and 2X Reef Blues(T5). What do you think?
 
So changed the lights and hooked up the new unit.

I'm not a happy chappie at the moment. Lost about 6 heads from different frogspawn colonies and the tank is not looking very good:(I ran the 250W MH for about 4 hours on the first day so I'm not sure if the coral is sulking due to this.


While I'm on a sad note, my Regal Angel decided to kick the bucket after 3 weeks in the quarantine tank. The blond naso seems very happy in here and I have got very attched to it. Why-o-why does this hobby have so many ups and downs:(

Sorry about the regal angel. This hobby has its ups and downs. Chin up bro. I recently changed over to 250s as well and ran the unit 500mm above the tank and decreased the height by 25mm everyday.its now 20cm above the tank and no ill effects.

Thanks Keyaam. Did routine maintenance on the tank on Sunday and realised last night that I didn't ####### switch the chiller back on. I've been so busy and distracted lately due to a big project that I'm working on, that I didn't see the temp had shot up to past 29 degrees.
I'm hoping everything will just settle down now and things can recover;)

Sorry to hear about the regal bud, always sad losing an angel. Would you pay R1100 plus shipping (+/-R300)for a Regal Angel, one of the MAC quality? I think they from the red sea?

I hit a downer with that queen of mine that pegged, lost lots of fish, all of mine now been in QT for the last 4 weeks, but feeling better after the big downer I went through.

Just haven't had much time for the tank lately with work and all my other commitments but hopefully I can set more time aside.
