I am sitting here (resting after tryiing to find places in the tank for the Coral that arrived today) wondering....mmmmmm...

With all this load shedding and power failures going on, I just wondered :
" How did the people of old (Dean, Alan Andrew....LoL) ran their systems before electricity was an issue.

Surely there was not a lot of gizmo's and equipment around. Maybe a pump or two running on petrol etc and Ro water was definately not available, same as fluorescents or metal halides (maybe candles..LoL).

Please tell us (the old polaroid pics will definately be an asset here) how the guys kept coral alive those days way back when??????

By the way, members not giving feedback here, will be listed as "very old people", seeing they do not want to participate, hence giving away their age (Hennie...LoL)

Sean have a look here, before even petrol  like where Viper comes from (the past)

Thank you Kanga. But I have read your thread and enjoyed it a lot (still look at it),
I was thinking about your thread that I started this one. I thought there would be very old members (mods/sponsors/gurus...He He) that has photos and stories of their own systems, say, 20 - 25 years back...
