I bought the Zet light this year, from day one my zoos just melt away. I have tried so many different settings and have bought new zoos and the same thing happens. If i take my zoos out with my tank water and put in another tank they start to open. I am now running T5 quad to see what happens. My tank is the Red sea max reefer 350.

Sounds like there is another issue in your tank, as lights would not make zoas melt away, i would investigate a predator, a fish nipping them or a water quality issue

Hi Guys,

So I started my marine tank on the 9th July 2015 again, after moving to freshwater and deciding not to sell my house... these are some of my pics of the tank with the ZT6600

Thank you for your info i do have a file fish and am watching him. I have also just tried new settings for the zetlights.. holding thumbs!

I have two ZT6500...Im impressed with the light spread...

Only problem is, when I program them, the settings does not take eff3ect for some reason..Yes I press the save button after each setting change...
Anyone know what the problem is?

Sorry guys, I havnt experienced any problems with my 6600, in fact it has been pretty amazing for me...

I would contact the reseller and ask him to either swop out or send for a fix...

Finally someone who knows my pain. can you tell me more about what problems you have ? i have now turned down the lights so much. it looks like its in sunset mode all day... never had such problems before with a marine tank. i have been very successful with all my tanks. everyone swears buy LEDS. but i`m not sold at the moment. some say its my water. however sadly not, cause that would be a much easier fix.

My thing, if it's the water, why are all my other corals thriving, I have sps and softies... My xenia seems to be stretching as if not enough lights. My pin cushion is the size of a saucer, gsp going made, then my hammerhead and candy cane thriving... Ive moved all my zoas to my tank running t5. And now they happy... Unfortunately with my model of zetlight. I only have on and off

omg... same here. my xenia, is growing like weeds, same with ears, monti pin cushion. etc... sadly zoos are my best corals, and they now no longer survive.. and no one can tell me why.... I can take my water and my zoos put them in another tank with different lighting and they start to open if not too late...

That's weird, I have a ZT6600.
My Zoas are opening like crazy, best I've ever seen them, and they come from a Nano that ran T5's

Hi guys what would be the best setting for the 6600 on a standard 4ft with sps?

Anyone using the zt6500 what are your settings . I would like an idea as ive left mine on factory settings

Marco from the Water Boy knows exactly how to set up the Zetlight. My tank is nine months old and had the Zetlight 6600 for two months now. It made a huge difference, not only to the growth of my corals, but also the stress that the T5 lights were placing on the fish. Tank size. 1.2m X 0.6m wide x 0.7m high.
