Sounds like there is another issue in your tank, as lights would not make zoas melt away, i would investigate a predator, a fish nipping them or a water quality issueIf i take my zoos out with my tank water and put in another tank they start to open. I am now running T5 quad to see what happens. My tank is the Red sea max reefer 350.

I have the exact prob. Got 1200 for my nano. Can't get zoas to do anything...I bought the Zet light this year, from day one my zoos just melt away. I have tried so many different settings and have bought new zoos and the same thing happens. If i take my zoos out with my tank water and put in another tank they start to open. I am now running T5 quad to see what happens. My tank is the Red sea max reefer 350.
Finally someone who knows my pain. can you tell me more about what problems you have ? i have now turned down the lights so much. it looks like its in sunset mode all day... never had such problems before with a marine tank. i have been very successful with all my tanks. everyone swears buy LEDS. but i`m not sold at the moment. some say its my water. however sadly not, cause that would be a much easier fix.I have the exact prob.
