Is KH a concern being so low during the cycle?

Willie,

I would not be concerned about the Ca levels. These will drop as the Ca gets consumed by lifeforms. Your alkalinity is a little low, and looking at your tests from Day1 until Day 23 , the Alk has not varied much. Just keep an eye on dosing.

In my Nano, I also experienced low Alk until the cycle was completed. Nowadays, I don't dose to improve the Alk and it is stable at 9-10dKH. I do weekly WC's of 25% and this keeps all parameters in check. I did find however that different salt brands yielded better results, so perhaps something to look at. ;)

Only dosed once on day 20 to get my KH up from 6.1 to 7.0.
I really hope my KH will be stable after the cycle.
But with no water changes done yet its difficult to keep parameters in check.

I wouldn't stress. Wait for the cycle to finish and just monitor the parameters. You may find that as soon as you start WC's , that this will take care of some of the parameters.

Any thoughts on what you would like to stock the tank with ? (e.g. FOWLR or Reef)

Long term goal will be to have a mixed reef, but for now il just start with softies and maybe one or two lps.

Hopefully the lps will consume that high level of CA :)

My fish will be a pair of clowns

My goals is on the first page :thumbup:
