Hi, what type of anemone is this?

Hateractis magnifica, commonly known as Riterri, African or yellow tipped anemone.
 
I was told this is a Long Tentacle Anemone.lol
 
does not look like it in the pic, but im told its pink and purple in colour, is this guy a difficult one to care for?

Yes...they are difficult to care for...

Don't think it's a Long Tentacle...but I could be wrong...does it have spots underneith..I really can't say, although the shape almost makes me think it could be(looks like it could "fold in half"..:blush:.....?
The Long Tentacle Anemone or Corkscrew Anemone is a handsome large anemone, growing to about 19" ((48 cm). Being brownish red to orange with distinctive white spots on its foot makes it a great low level centerpiece.

Most anemones are difficult in as much that you require a mature system, good lighting, low nutrients, they hae high NO3. from the picture, it doean't look like a long tentacled (Macrodactyla doreensis), they have a red to orange base with "speckles" just as the tentacles start.

....also long tentacled anemones are always found on the bottom with their foot in the sand (require deep sand), this one is on the rocks.
 
Sabae anemone id Guess, But getting some better pics would make it easier to give proper id. Also dont think that would be your Ideal one to add in a Boyu tank.
 
No no no, not for my tank bru, my friend can get the anemone for cheap, the guy wants to give it away practically. so buddy of mine is taking it. so he asked me to find out a little bit about it. he initially wanted me to take it and keep it in my tank for him, but i said NEY to that. my tank is fairly new still.
so i told him its a difficult anemone to care for and so on, but he is still keen on getting it.so we shall see, some owes dont smaak to listen bra, just see, soon im going to be advertising this anemone because of his stupidity.

I can not post pics now,will describe it now and post pic first thing tomorrow morning.
Its got light brown tentacles with white tips, the tentacles are a bit curled at the end, it has this glowing green inside of it and it seems it dug itself into the substrate,it has a thick kinda foot and it seems the foot is in the sand.

Will post pics in the morning.maybe someone can come up with something just from a description.

Colour of foot? That sounds like a Macrodactylis dorreensis, long tentacled anemone or corck screw anemone. They have a red tp orange foot and like at least 10cm of fine to medium substrate to burry themselves in.
 
Was difficult to see foot because of how he was situated in tank. Owner says the foot is like a skin colour.
 
It could be a "skin" colour at the top where the tentacles begin, but as you go further down it changes colour.
 
I really think its a corkscrew anemone, wow , you were able to I'd without a pic.I am super impressed.

One thing concerns me, the tank only has about a 5-6cm substrate but the anemone has buried itself already and seems very happy and healthy.what do you think about this?
 
What size is the anemone? They get very big and the adults ones will need about 15-20cm of soil to burry themselves, otherwise, they also like to wedge themselves between a rock and sand (less common).
 
ok here is the pic, what would you guys say, does it look healthy? and what should he be feeind this anemone?

Yip, that's a corkscrew, does it have speckles underneath the disc, just as the tentacles start. How does the oral disc look?
 
whats the oral disc? the mouth was open when iw as there, its small, the size of a 10c coin. i do not remember seeing any speckles hey.
 
Oral disc is the part from the mouth to where the tentacles begin.
