I couldn't get a picture quickly enough but my tux urchin was sitting on some love rock releasing some white liquid almost well like ummm errr man juice, into the tank. Anyone know what this is?

Was it coming out of the top of it?
It could very well be as you put it, ummm errr man juice. They sometimes spawn due to stress so it might be a good idea to check parameters.

Wouldnt hurt to check all of them, but the big ones like salinity, temp and pH would be a good place to start.
Im not saying that that is the cause becasue they do sometimes spawn on thier own.
Do you only have the one tuxedo urchin?

@459b yup lone ranger. Salinity is 1026 temp a little high (but has been higher with him in it before) 27.2 and ph is sitting at 8.1.

Not sure Nitrates? Shouldn't have that much of an affect on him?

So it looked kind of like this:

Not sure about lighting.
I used to run a prac at university on development and we used sea urchins as test subjects. We would chemically induce spawning then fertilize the eggs, etc etc. Sometime we'd have to double the dose to get them to spawn while on other occasions simply handling them was enough to get things going.

Maybe you and/or someone did something 16LNS in the same room as the tank that caused the stimulation? :whistling:
