Trad's Nano (New)

So making progress but not without the usual hick ups.

The return pump OR2500 impeller is bust I MacGyver'd it together with some tooth picks and PVC weld and seems to be holding. Ordered a replacement hopefully It will come soon.

The flow back to the sump seems way too strong the baffle return in the sump is blasting water out the back/top. It has a lid on the top but the pressure is shooting it out the back between the silicone, which is leaking the water out of the tank. More silicone required and I need to throttle the return pump but afraid that will mess up my temporary fix.

I got 14kg LR from @Adee, he still has tons left and it looks really good, so for R60 p/kg you better contact him quick! Looks like more than enough rock.

Here is a pic of the tank i did last night just before lights out, personally I hate how blue it looks but this was with only 5% blue LEDS (cause of the time). I'll try get a photo during the day with 100% white / 100% Blue it looks much cleaner

Actually a very strange photo cause the substrate looks dirty but it's actually brand new clean.

Skimmer is plugged in and working well, leaks and flow all sorted.

I ordered a Tunze 3152 ATU that will hopefully be here this weekend for setup that I will plumb to the grocery cupboard next door with a RO storage tank.

Still waiting for my RW4 flow pump from "pre order" with Aquarium World, maybe I should have gotten the Tunze 6020 nano stream...

4 days noticed ever so slight amount of brown diatoms on the LR and substrate. cut the lights to 3 hours (had them on the default program which is like 14hours or something stupid) anyway normal boring cycling stuff.

I also orders an Algae X 3in1 Rx / Reefmaster RO / TDS and some other stuff from The Waterboy. Should arrive next week sometime for setup.

Enough Phosphate media for 10 changes 100ml = 100L, also 3kg of Carbon should last me a year as well.

TDS meter, I've only ever had this one and it works great @TheWaterboy

Installed the Algae X with Phosphate and Carbon Reactor, and the UV. It was simply one of the best plug and play items I have ever bought and have to give Marco credit as he really made it simple for the user.

The RO unit also took all of around 20min to install for the same reason. TDS 0 without even running it for a flush, which I am doing today.

My wife is going to kill me, hermits/smails Monday, RO/Rx Tuesday and pretty sure the RW4 flow pump is going to come today for me to install. I'd better be careful.
