The Zeovit Thread - SA Style

Zeo and NSW

Guys not to hijack but what is the consencious on using the Zeo system and NSW? would it be contradictive as im sure the nsw is nutrient rich? making for the use of more zeo product to rectify?

anyone coastal using the combination?

i will start a new thread if need be?

The whole point of Zeovit is to run the system as close to possible to NSW levels. It might be intresting to see what people have to say

@jaquesdp08 moved house over the weekend and all seemed to be going pretty well until I found my study flooded last night.

Base of my sump is cracked, must have started out as a small crack and gradually got bigger since Saturday when we moved the tank. Other than that tank seems fine :)

Zeofit: Running your system on the edge of starvation to promote better colours in SPS corals.

Better than Dull Colours and its not so difficult. Just takes patience to get the tank into Zeo mode from there its easy

Hmmm. Used to follow his post "religeously" Pity that Gary White has gone very quiet lately. He used to find all the interesting stuff for us, now I have to do my own leg work.

Not quite sure why this forum Coral Science Research & Applications Archive - zeovit.com has been locked for sooooo long....

@irie ivan there is some seriously good info in there!
so much more i still need to read

That thread is all about biology etc for corals
Zeovit itself is very easy and fool proof

I'm going the Biopellet route on a new tank (in the few months I hope). :)

Everyone to their own. One thing this hobby has taught me is that there is more than one way to achieve the same goal and some things are more appealing or work better for different people. At the end of the day you will find works best for you.

I personally am loving the Zeovit method as it has made me become more aware of my tank and it's needs. It was by no means easy to find the balance but I am glad I have taken the time and the advice of many members and stuck with it, it is finally starting to show results.

@butcherman 6ew posts back complicated? Not at all. It comes with a packet of instructions and an almost 24 / 7 customer support in the form of a forum. As long as u don' question their ingredients and some of their methologies, its a really friendly place.

Only once you start to ponder the how, why and where of the system, can it get complicated.

Completely agree. This is one method that is not just about blindly reading the instructions and doing as they say. Each tank is unique and needs it's own method. The instructions are a great starting place but once you understand what each component is for and does you will slowly but surely (with the help of a lot of very friendly helpful people) find what your tank needs, once you find this it is truly great. I have honestly been enjoying my tank a lot more over the last 4 weeks than I ever thought I could.

My only problem in overstanding what each product is for is that Mr. Pohl does not divulge ingredients. I know his got his reasons,b but imho it should be law. But yes @silverZA , it does force you to get involved with intricate system details...
But I suppose if you read the instructions an realize (for most its perhaps subconscious) your system is gonna be hovering on a knife edge and a slip of hand can cause devastation... You should realise you need to pay attention.
