Tank Size

Im sure it can be done but maybe not worth all the PT. Will look into it, but would one not need a salt mixer as well for top up if so then space for becomes a problem for me.

Please don't make the mistake I made. Top-up must be RO only. Water changes need salt.

When I started I wonder why my SG kept increasing week to week, Till Viper/Kanga kindly informed me that when the water evaporates the salt is left behind :p

I had a :peroni: draft at CPT airport, not to bad, but still not Heineken

Personally I dont like he draft, just the stuff in bottles that taste like nectar of the gods:peroni:

Okay you made your points clear. The wife will now have to give up the dishwasher point:lol:
Bruce, shame, poor lady :p

You do get an inline valve that fits behind the tap that will run your RO. I will upload a pic of it tonight so you can see what it looks like, just remind me please. Or I'm sure someone else should have a pic.

Okay Viper dont forget the pic, I will sacrifice a few rands:razz: for the connection so the wife can have her dishwasher:lol:

Some updated pics of my sump. All internal chambers now siliconed and sitting like you know what to a blanket. My son and myself actually picked the sump up by the vertical panes. Ive just siliconed the the front pane now and on Sunday will do the other side. Really enjoying this DIY and seeing it come together at last.:1: Now sitting back and enjoying a cold one.

Looks damn neat Bruce, really neat:thumbup:

Ok I will have a :peroni: with you on this side

Sorry for the delay. I'm getting loadshedded every Mon/Wed/Fri from 18:30 - 21:00 :(

And now photobucket is playing up. :(

Bruce that is one wicked sump, you must be proud of your DIY handy work.

Well Done :thumbup1:

Thanks all, Warr yes not bad for the first DIY with glass, only some places the silicon wasnt finished off so neatly as I wanted it but its okay. The problem is the silcon starts to dry and when one smooths it out using a spoon the thin dry film on top tends to stretch rather than flow smoothly especially when there is a long bead. But Im happy:slayer:

Awesome Bruce, nice equipment

Skimmer looks good, I like to remove the air silencers as they can restrict the airflow a little bit, the more air the better :)

AWESOME Bruce! Great skimmer! The best pump as well! Sump is looking great! WOW! That LFS is EXPENSIVE!
My 1.2 metre sump (not the BEST design, but it works for me) cost me R375 at a LFS here in CPT!
