Hey riaan I'm in the hardware wholesale and retail industry and we definitely still getting stock of the 50mm vent valves in fact there are a few different brands around the market(we currently have the sok 'n' vent as per your pic.),try going to another hardware retailer maybe.

Yeah, Builders Warehouse only got the same thing, nowadays directly glued to the 110mm female end cap.
The ones that Chamberlains sell, is different, a flat one that will not allow enough water to enter. Need to modify it as well.
The sok 'n' vent is the best.

Cool think I'm going to finally get around to doing my dursot on my new tank...doubt a vent valve will fit on my current piping but I have another plan in mind your thread has coaxed me to finally get it done so the wife can watch her soapies at lower volumes!
