Question, if my equipment is "leaking" electricity will it use a lot more electricity?

That's a good question, I have a meter on my tank plugs and it's always bothered me that if I add up all the wattage of my equipment and compare it to the reading on the meter, it is quite different, the reading is a lot higher. Any sparkies that can shed some light?

you can also resin the wires if they are cracked to reseal them will prevent the leakage
