Ah, some pics of the tank and my new inverter which actually got a test run last night, My GF was cooking dinner and a globe in the extractor hood above the stove blew and tripped the power to the whole house! the tank carried on running as if nothing was wrong and the inverter didn't even beep about the load!
Green Star Polyps (stole them from my work tank)
Rose Coral - looked like it might die at work, after 2 days in the RSM and target feeding it looks brilliant!
Giant Cup Mushroom - this baby is about the size of a mini CD at the moment, he will get much bigger! it was under a BIG giant cup mushroom we bought for work and wasn't doing well cause it was being smothered by the big one, so snipped the rock and took him to my tank where he is happy!
yellow cup coral - after reading up on this guy the yellow isn't natural, people dye the hard part of the coral which is naturally a chocolate brown, just the polyps are supposed to be yellow. The article I read said there is a very good chance the coral would not last a week due to the stress of the dye but with some good care it may survive, and mine is doing well! target feeding and good light thanks to the RSM and you can see how the hard part of the coral is starting to go back to its natural colour! Personally I think it looks much nicer with the contrast of the bright yellow polyps against the brown stony part!
Pincushion frag
I get these bubbles every day forming on the rocks, is this nitrogen turning back into a gas state? i just wave it off the rocks every day when im giving the glass a clean.
