Revolutionising Our Hobby! Real Reef Rock -your wild liverock alternative

Hi Chris
Apologies for only coming back to you now.
The rock is cured and cycled so will not make your system recycle.
I can send you about 5kg now and you can play around with your scape as the lfs in Jhb should recieve stock in about 4 or so weeks.

Hammerhead...at this stage we dont have a LFS in Durban...working on it.
We can ship direct to your door to you in Durbs for very reasonable prices...how many kg you looking and I can quote you.

New shipment landing 23 November.....Shelf rock will be included...80% sold out...anyone who wants please give me a shout...

So given the "ratio" of normal rock of 1KG per 1Ltr of water.. What would the recommended ratio be of Real Reef?

Obviously if I need 200KG of Fiji, I *should* in theory need far less of Real Reef considering the nature of the rock? I'm finding it hard to determine how much is enough, and given the price is a premium, I definately do not want to (or can afford to) over stock.

So, just how much is enough here?

Cknipe, when you speak of a ratio of 1kg to 1 litre, this is a pretty high ratio.
For you to pack a 200 litre tank with 200kg would be in my humble opinion far too dense.
I would rather recommend 10% of your water volume in kg for an average density aquascape, higher density and you need to increase this ratio.
Hope this helps

Hi sorry - yes that was a typo. 1KG per 10lt water.

But the issue is that 10KG of rock, is not the same as 10KG of Real Reef :) In weight yes, but the Reel Reef will be allot more rock and hence, you should be able to get away with less. How much less though is the question?

Hi Guys

If you are wanting a change of Aquascape or setting up a new tank...consider Real Reef Rock...we have stock...
