Quentins Reef

New lights arrived, busy playing around with many different settings. What is impressive the app comes with some preset settings for SPS and LPS. Must say price point and what this light can do is impressive. Plus it made from aluminum.

What version did you end up getting had a look but was a bit sceptical as there is not much information? I will also be running SPS and softies in a 45 cube.

I went with the Micmol G4 Thor marine version. Yup not much info on these units. There are a few YouTube videos. My tank is still cycling so lights will be off for another month.

Time will tell. What is awesome about these units via the app, is you can share your settings with other reefer.

Hek, that’s the unit I was looking at more a Thor X though given the price difference still looks like very good lights. Someone mentioned in a video comment section that par ratings in 24inch cube at sand was 100 par, they grew sps in the tank as well.

Would like if someone could do a Par testing on these units would be great to know.

Sharing settings could be good on a community level. Wouldn’t be surprised once someone does a PAR test on these lights and they are good enough for SPS tank, they start selling like hot cakes.

I would love a par test to be done. I need to be patient. Another four weeks, then I can add corals.

Added my first coral . Impressed with the lights. Will be adding a few more coral pieces in next few weeks. No plans on fish yet.
