@Andre@ReefAquatics What is the method for using tF2 or any other fertilizer? Use it per fresh water (at appropraite salinity) litre added to existing culture / added per existing culture per litre per day or week?

Have been going along with cultures purchased for you guys 2014, with things still cooking, but want to know the correct usage and methods. Perhaps I'll get denser populations?

My method is currently by gut and a few ml per dag.

Hi Scotty, great to hear things are going strong, with culturing there are a few factors that come into play and also your output requirement. For example our turn over is large so we used LEDS and we run our lights 24/7, this yields a weekly crop.

There is no hard of fast rule, you have to devise a method that suites your requirements.

@Maddy, our DIY home culture kits come with the full step by step culture instructions, this is offered with the full package :)

    Thanks Andre
Wow, 24/7. Fertilizer galore I presume. On 3 10L buckets I do T8s and one just setup with leds. Will see what the diff is.

One more Q: does zooplankton actually require lighting like phyto or is room / ambient lighting sufficient during the daytime?

No just F2 initially for the boost upon cutting/splitting - thereafter its photosynthesis that carries on, when the product is ready, it must have used ALL fertilizer N&P components.
Zoo = no light, cylindrical drum best, lots of water changes, they dirty buggers.
